One of our staff members is off to travel so we are looking for a new team member from 1st November!
This is a great opportunity for a motivated and experienced farm assistant or Herd Manager to join our family owned and operated farm in beautiful Te Aroha in the Waikato.
We are milking 980 cows through a brand new 70 bail rotary shed and run collars for animal health monitoring.
The job involves all aspects of the day to day running of the farm including milking, animal health, pasture management, rearing calves, feeding out, effluent management, repairs and maintenance. There is plenty of opportunity and support to grow and develop your farming skills.
You will bring:
• experience milking cows and good animal husbandry skills
• experience in operating tractors and farm machinery
• high standard of cleanliness for the shed, farm and housing
• a positive can-do work attitude and attention to detail
• be a reliable and motivated team player
• willingness to learn and progress in the dairy industry
Remuneration and level of responsibility is based on experience.
