We are seeking a motivated, honest, and reliable person to join our dairy farming operation. This role involves assisting with the day-to-day running of a 470-cow herd on a 160-effective hectare farm, milking through a 40-aside herringbone shed.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Milking and maintaining high standards of shed hygiene
Stock handling and animal welfare
Feeding and pasture management support
Set up temporary fences and weed control
General farm and machinery maintenance
Other general farm duties as required
The farm is part of a larger farming business that includes an additional dairy unit located across the road. Employees are expected to work cooperatively across both farms as part of a wider team when required.
Previous dairy farming experience is preferred but not essential. Training will be provided for candidates without prior experience who demonstrate the right attitude and work ethic.

8 days on / 2 days off

The farm policy has a strong focus on pasture management, maximising grass growth. 40 aside herringbone shed with in shed meal feeder. Production target 175000 kgMS. 55 ha support block located 3 km away from dairy farm.
