Based in Mid Canterbury, we are looking for a Farm Assistant to fill on permanent full-time role. You will be rostered to work between hours of 4am to 5pm Monday to Sunday on 6 days on and 2 days off basis. you will be guaranteed work for 30 hours per week and an average 80 hours per fortnight. We offer competitive wage based on your skills. We have a strict drug free policy on farm and can ask for random drug tests. What we are looking for: A candidate with at least 6 months of previous experience and a relevant qualification in agriculture. Must be confident in riding a 2-wheeler and quad bike Can ensure stock are in good condition and report any illness immediately Honest, reliable and hardworking Team player good communication skills physically fit.
You will have to be physically in New Zealand and have legal rights to work.
Job duties: Milking setup break fences Support Farm manager with supplement feeding as required check water trough when in paddock Weed spraying and grubbing Help with effluent management move sprinklers etc.
