We are seeking a motivated and reliable Farm Assistant to join our dairy farming team.
About the Farm
- 680-cow dairy operation
- 40-aside herringbone milking shed
- System 5 farm
- Supplementary feeding includes maize, PKE, soybean meal, canola straw, and molasses
- Cows are fed on a dual feedpad system
Key Responsibilities
- Milking 680 cows through a 40-aside herringbone shed
- Assisting with animal health and welfare
- Feeding and managing supplements on the feedpad
- General farm maintenance and daily farm operations
- Supporting the team during calving and throughout the season
Minimum Requirements
- A minimum of 6 months' experience on a dairy farm, including participation in at least one calving season; or
- A Level 2 Dairy Farming qualification
- A valid full driver's licence
- A clear criminal record
- Must be drug free
- Able to work effectively as part of a team and follow farm procedures
- Must be confident on 2 wheel motorbikes and quads.
Employment Conditions
- Guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week
- $26.00 per hour, including accommodation costs
- Accommodation available on farm
