Are you an experienced dairy farmer looking for your next opportunity in one of New Zealand’s most beautiful regions?

We are looking for a Dairy Farm 2IC to join our team on a well-run 1,000-cow dairy farm in stunning Golden Bay.

The Role

As 2IC, you’ll work closely with the Farm Manager and play an important role in the day-to-day running of the farm. We’re looking for someone who is reliable, practical, and confident working with a large herd and modern dairy system.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the Farm Manager with day-to-day farm operations
• Milking and managing a 1,000-cow herd
• Herd health and animal welfare
• Pasture and feed management
• Machinery and general farm maintenance
• Staff support and team leadership
• Helping maintain high standards across the farm

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

• Proven dairy farming experience
• Experience working with large herds
• Good stockmanship and attention to detail
• A strong work ethic and positive attitude
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and organisational skills
• A full New Zealand driver's licence
• New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency
• A genuine commitment to dairy farming

• 1,000-cow dairy operation
• 80-bale rotary shed

Accommodation

A comfortable 3-bedroom, insulated house is provided with the position.

Please note: no dogs are permitted with the accommodation.
