CNR Farming has an exciting opportunity for a Dairy Assistant in our business. The farm peak milks 780 cows through a 54 bale rotary on 240ha platform, fully irrigated by pivots with some fixed grid and a small area sprinklers. We are a Halter farm, as well as ACR's, automatic drafting. We target production of 480 a cow and are a system 4, with a real focus on maximising pasture harvested. A variety of tasks are in this role: learning pasture\feed management, setting up breaks, milking cows to a hygienic and healthy level, including somatic cell count, identifying calving cows, calf rearing, working on animal health issues, washing the plant, feeding out, shifting irrigation, ensuring health records are kept up to date, plus other farm tasks that arise from time to time. We aim to work as a team and everyone getting to know all aspects of the farm. Someone who is passionate about dairy farming, honest and keen to learn and communicate well.
