Job Description

We have a position available for a new team member to join us working on a farm near Otorohanga.

We are looking for a farm assistant who will be involved in most aspects of day to day dairy farming.  As it is a busy time of year we will not have enough time available to suitably train someone without experience, so we need someone who can hit the ground running, but an environment to learn on the go, working as a vital team member toward the same common goals.

We need someone who is passionate and driven about their job, understand that it can be long, frustrating, and sometimes hard work at times, but also rewarding at the same time.  We don't want a passenger.

Duties include safely driving 2 and 4 wheeler motorbikes on rolling to steep terrain, driving a tractor as required for feeding out with a bale feeder or silage wagon, milking cows, measuring and setting up break fences, feeding calves with a mobile feeder, cleaning cowshed, spreading magnesium and calcium on pasture, washing and maintaining vehicles and implements.

We are not accredited employers so cannot provide help with Visas.
