From 5 October, we have an opportunity for a Farm Assistant on our farm in Rotoorangi – 10 minutes from Cambridge.
We milk 600 cows in a modern 50-bale rotary, running two herds. Our farm is relatively flat with the odd rolling hill. We use cow manager ear tags for heat and health detection and automatic drafting. In this role you will assist in the day to day running of the farm including milk and shed hygiene, effluent irrigation, break fencing, general maintenance and repairs and other farm duties.

We require someone who is reliable, fit and healthy. Someone who enjoys working with animals and seeing them do their best. A person who is keen to learn and progress within our farm business.
We are looking at running a 9/2,8/2 roster (over weekends). We are flexible with additional time off during quieter times. We offer a generous salary and a 3-bedroom house as part of the total package.
