We require a new manager/2IC to assist us in running our 550 cow farm near Enfield. Our previous 2IC of 4 years left at the end of the last season and we are looking for a fit and energetic person to join our team.
Farm Information:
54 bail rotary with in-shed feeding and cup removers
Fully irrigated 165 ha dairy platform with 3 pivots and fixed grid poles
High performing XB herd targeting 550MS/cow and 2000 MS/ha
80ha Run-off that is fully irrigated with fixed grid poles
We require someone that is capeable of running the farm to a high standard in the absence of the owners later in the season. They would need to be able to manage pasture, heat detect cows, and drive the tractor feeding out and spreading fertiliser on rolling hills. They need to be able to speak and understand English and be a NZ Resident or allowed to work in NZ
The farm is located 10 minutes from Oamaru and 5 minutes from Enfield.
