Unfortunately, we are readvertising due to the resignation of a team member who is moving back to be closer to family.
Located near Tarras, we are just 30 minutes from Wanaka and 20 minutes to Cromwell – the Central Otago lifestyle is right on our doorstep!
We are looking for someone with previous farming experience to join our team. You must be eligible to work in New Zealand and be able to commit to 6+ months of employment, which can be extended for the right person.
We will be milking 850 cows through a brand new 64 bale rotary cowshed, with automatic cup removers and in-shed feeding. The cows are also fitted with Halter collars.
Currently over calving our roster is 6 days on, 1 day off. After the busy calving period this will then change to 8 days on, 2 days off, 8 days on, 3 days off (so every third weekend is a three day weekend).
Accommodation will be shared until approximately the end of August, when we have new housing arriving on farm. Once these are set up you will have your own private accommodation available.
You must:
Be eligible to work in NZ (we are not accredited with Immigration NZ)
Ideally have previous farming experience
Have a great attitude and sense of humour
Be a team player and have great communication skills
Be reliable and dependable
Be physically fit and capable to carry out physical labour
Be willing to learn new skills
