Due to our Shed manager resigning to go support family overseas, we have a position available on a 750 cow farm in the Waitotara/Waverley area.

Skills :

We need someone with at least 3 years dairy experience.
Have the confidence and skills to run a cowshed, ensuring all procedures are followed to avoid milk penalties, can do plant & vat washes
Can identify sick animals and treat them
Good stockmanship skills

Duties :

Milk Cows
Plant & Vat washes, cleaning of shed & yards
Assist contract milker team to pick up calves, draft cows etc.
Feed out - feed pad
During summer months - weed spraying
