we are looking for experienced and motivated Assistant Manager for next season. Minimum two year experience or Level-4 qualification in any field is required for this position. Assistant Manager will be responsible for running the day to day operation in the absence of contract milker. You should understand and takes responsibility for daily tasks such as running of the dairy, effluent management and feeding. completes tasks without any supervision and can supervise and train other staff. Looks for opportunities to work more effectively and efficiently to improve the business.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Milking: Understands and implements efficient milking practices and keep the far dairy clean.
Hygienic: Record health treatments and solve milk quality problems.
Animals: Diagnoses common ailments and treat accordingly. competent in all aspects of calving and matting.
Feed: Implement best practice for pasture, crop and supplement management for optimal quality and utilisation.
Environment: understands regulations and management of nutrients, effluent and water .
Health , safety and wellbeing: Models a health , safety and wellbeing culture, record accidents and identifies farm hazards.
