Tractor Operator – Join Our Progressive Farming Team Te Hou Farms Limited Partnership:

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Tractor Operator to join our large-scale dairy and dairy support farming business. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a professional team that values quality work, excellent infrastructure, and sustainable farming practices.

About the Role

You will be responsible for all day-to-day tractor operations across our farming business, ensuring stock are well cared for and farm operations run efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

• Daily feeding out to livestock using modern machinery.
• Operating tractors and farm equipment safely and efficiently.
• Mowing, Rolling and other seasonal tractor work.
• General farm maintenance and infrastructure upkeep.
• Routine machinery servicing and basic repairs.
• Working alongside the wider farm team to maintain high standards across the property.
• Time to time assisting in general farm dry stock duties including fencing repairs & water repairs.  

What We're Looking For

The ideal applicant will have:

• Proven experience operating tractors and agricultural machinery.
• Experience feeding out to livestock.
• Perhaps have been a Dairy farmer or farmed at a higher level and looking for another opportunity. 
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to carry out routine maintenance.
• A positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in their work.
• The ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.
• A commitment to health, safety, and animal welfare.

We are a progressive, large-scale dairy and dairy support business that takes great pride in caring for our whenua and continually investing in our farms and people. Our business includes two modern dairy units milking approximately 2,500 cows, supported by an extensive dairy support operation.
