Dairy Farm Assistant – Mid Canterbury
Due to an injury we are seeking an experienced Dairy Farm Assistant to join our family-run operation on a newly converted dairy farm in Mid Canterbury. Milking 1,200 cows through a modern 80-bale rotary, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fresh, progressive setup from the ground up.
Located just 25 minutes inland from Ashburton and only 8 minutes from Mayfield, the farm offers a great rural lifestyle with convenient access to nearby towns.

Key responsibilities:
Milking in an 80-bale rotary
Animal health and pasture management
Feeding and general farm duties
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and animal welfare
What we’re looking for:
Minimum 2 years dairy farming experience
Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Ability to work both independently and within a team
Good communication and willingness to learn
