Seeking keen farm assistant to join our growing team.
Spring calving farm, 169Ha farm calving down from 620 cows, split into 2 herds
As a Farm assistant you will be working with the contract milkers, 2IC and another assistant.
Day to day tasks include but not limited to milking, maintaining fences, tractor work, weeds etc. 2 wheelers are the main vehicle used by staff on farm.
There will plenty of learning opportunities and encouragement for advancement.
We view animal health and wellbeing as being top priority along with honesty and reliability. Must be quiet and well-mannered with livestock.
We prefer applicants to have a minimum 1 year experience in the NZ Dairy Industry but this isn't essential. Applicants must be NZ residents/ citizens as we are not accredited employers.
There is modern machinery that will be good for experience, mixer wagon, double mowers.
Accommodation is a 3 bedroom house with detached double garage.
Located near Manaia in south Taranaki. mostly flat farm with great presentation.
We will be offering competitive remuneration and a 5 on 2 off roster.
We operate the farm as a smoke and drug free workplace.
Random drug testing is carried out on farm.
