Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Farm Assistant to join our dairy farming team. The successful applicant will assist with the day-to-day operation of a modern dairy farm while working closely with the Farm Manager and other staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Milking cows and maintaining high milk quality standards.
- Moving, feeding, and caring for livestock.
- Monitoring animal health and reporting any concerns.
- Assisting with calving and other seasonal farming activities.
- Cleaning and maintaining the dairy shed, plant, and farm equipment.
- Repairing and maintaining fences, troughs, races, and other farm infrastructure.
- Operating tractors and other farm machinery where appropriate.
- Applying animal welfare, biosecurity, and health and safety procedures at all times.
- Assisting with pasture management, stock movements, and feeding programmes.
- Carrying out general farm duties as directed by the Farm Manager to support the efficient operation of the farm.
- Any bachelors degree required
