$70,000 - $75,000 yearly

Job Description

Due to an unexpected change, we are looking for a motivated Farm Assistant to join our team immediately.

We milk 530 cows through a 44-aside herringbone shed and are seeking someone with a minimum of six months' dairy farming experience who is looking for a stable, long-term opportunity.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Milking cows twice daily
  • Feeding calves when required
  • Identifying and, with experience, treating mastitis
  • Record keeping
  • Vat and plant washing
  • Temporary fencing
  • General farm maintenance

The successful applicant must be confident riding both two-wheel motorbikes and quad bikes. Tractor experience would be an advantage but is not essential.

We're looking for a positive, hardworking team player with a strong work ethic who takes pride in achieving excellent results. You'll be joining a supportive, dynamic team that values reliability, initiative, and a willingness to learn.

Health and safety is a top priority on our farm, so we are looking for someone who is safety-conscious, follows procedures, and contributes to maintaining a safe working environment for everyone.

If you're dependable, eager to build your dairy farming career, and ready to hit the ground running, we'd love to hear from you.
