Dairy Farm Worker - Full-time Permanent

Salary: NZD $65,000-$70,000 per year depending on experience (base salary), plus accommodation package
Minimum Hours: 30 hours per week
Average Hours: 40 hours per week
This position we are looking to fill is for a Farm Assistant role on a 680 cow dairy farm 10 minutes from Ashburton.
Currently herringbone shed but we are in the process of building a 54-bale rotary which will be operational approximately October/November.
Mainly Pivot irrigation with 5ha of Kline and one Roto Rainer.
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Dairy Farm Worker to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in animal care, and can contribute positively to a busy dairy farm operation.
In this role, you will assist with the day-to-day running of the farm, including milking, stock movement, feeding, animal health monitoring, fencing, cleaning, general maintenance, and seasonal farm tasks. You will also be expected to follow farm policies and procedures, including health and safety and environmental practices.
To be successful in this role, you should ideally have a minimum of 6 months' dairy farming experience. You will also need to be physically fit, dependable, and able to work well in a team environment. A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to good animal welfare practices are essential.
