We’re looking for a motivated Farm Assistant to join our friendly team on a progressive dairy operation milking 1,250 cows through a 60-bail rotary shed equipped with ACRs and Protrack.

đŸ§‘â€đŸŒŸ About the Role

You’ll be part of a team of 6 helping to ensure efficient, high-quality milk production and excellent animal welfare.
Daily tasks include:

  • Milking in a modern 60-bail rotary shed (ACRs, Protrack)

  • Animal health checks and assisting with treatments

  • Shed hygiene and milk quality monitoring

  • Feeding, calf rearing, and general farm duties

  • Moving and feeding stock (including tractor work if experienced)

  • Helping with effluent management and general farm maintenance

  • Following all health, safety, and environmental procedures

You’ll work closely with the Farm Manager and team to ensure the farm runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely.

We’re after someone with:

  • A positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic

  • Reliability and honesty — shows up on time and takes pride in their work

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • Some dairy experience preferred, but we’re happy to train the right person who’s motivated to learn

  • Physically fit and able to work early mornings, weekends, and long hours during busy periods

  • A current driver’s licence (tractor experience an advantage)

  • Commitment to animal welfare and farm safety

As part of our health and safety policy, pre-employment drug and alcohol testing is required, and all staff are subject to random drug and alcohol testing throughout employment.
