Farm assistant
The role involves supporting the farm manager achieving the farms production and animal health and welfare goals . Milking 385 cows through a 30ashb maintaining a high standard of milk quality and environmental practices. The farm has a no cats policy. Must be a nz resident.
Requirements
Competent in operating a tractor and feeding out with wagon and bale feeder.
Able to ride a 2 wheeler and sidebysides.
Excellent references from current and previous employer.
A valid nz driver's license
Good communication skills and a sense of humor.
A strong work ethic and a genuine passion for cows and the industry.

Key responsibilities.
Milk harvesting and shed hygiene
Plant and vat washers
Feeding out and putting up break fences
Monitoring cows for health issues and administering treatments as directed.
Spreading urea and shifting and monitoring effluent spreader to environmental requirements.
Following grazing plans and assisting with mating and reproduction.
Assisting with all other farm duties as required.
Roster 6&1 though calving then double rotation for rest of season .
