Drive - In Milk Harvester required in the Auroa area to assist sharemilker milking 290 cows in a 32 aside herringbone with ACR's for the 2026-2027 dairy season.
Our ideal candidate would have the following attributes:
· Some experience in dairy farming preferred but not essential
· Reliable and on time
· Honest and trustworthy
· Strong work ethic
· Quiet around stock
· Confident around large animals
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
· Assisting the sharemilker with milkings - twice a day
· Maintain high standards of animal care and cleanliness
· Be able to identify mastitis and other animal health issues and report to sharemilker
· During calving (July - September) assist with collecting cows and calves from the paddock and feeding calves twice a day.
Fixed term employment - 14th July 2026 to May 2027.
Hourly rate based on experience.
Roster 5 on 2 off
This position would suit someone local to Auroa and its surrounding areas as this is a drive in position - there is no house available.
