We are looking for a Farm Assistant to join our team, milking 490 cows through a 41 ASHB shed with automatic cup removers. We are a once-a-day farming operation, using Halter collars. At least 1 year experience required. Good, relaxed working environment and hours. Someone who is quiet and relaxed with stock, reliable, trustworthy and honest. You have to be confident riding a Two-Wheeler motor bike and be able to drive a tractor and feed out on a feed pad as well as in the paddocks. We are looking for someone who can fit in with the team, has a sense of humor and just get on with the job. We leasing a 346ha farm of which 173ha are used for dairy platform, the rest is a dry block. Milking 490 cows through a 41 ASHB shed. Using Halter to make the job super easy. Farm is rolling to steep, with some flat paddocks, so experience riding 2- and 4-wheel motorbikes are essential. We run our young stock including some beefy animals on the attached dry block. Located 20mins from Te Kuiti and 10min from Pio Pio, in the King County, with a lot of attraction in the surrounds, e.g. the beautiful Waitomo caves, with nice fishing spots not too far away and of course lot of hunting possibilities on farm for possums, turkeys and rabbits and the odd deer coming through.
