Full-Time Farm Assistant – Fixed Term (Calving Season)
We are looking for a motivated, reliable, and hard-working Full-Time Farm Assistant to join our team for the upcoming calving season.
We milk 340 cows through a 40-aside herringbone shed on a 172ha dairy farm, with an additional runoff block located 3km away.
This is a fixed-term position from mid-July until the end of September, with the potential for ongoing casual work beyond this period for the right applicant.
The successful candidate will be reliable, hard-working, and willing to learn. They will be comfortable working independently, have good stock sense, and enjoy being part of a supportive team. Previous dairy farming experience is preferred, and tractor experience would be an advantage.
Job duties include:
Milking and shed hygiene
Assisting with day-to-day farm duties
General farm maintenance
Tractor work
Stock work and animal health
Assisting with calf rearing and colostrum management
Identifying and treating sick cows

Physically fit and capable of farm work

A full driver's licence is preferred.
