Farm Assistant - Support Blocks

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Farm Assistant to join our team on a well-run dairy support blocks. This role supports the main dairy operation by focusing on young stock, feed production, and general farm maintenance. It is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their farming skills in a varied and hands-on environment.

What you will be doing:

  • Animal husbandry, including rearing calves and managing young stock
  • Feeding livestock (silage, baleage, crops, and supplements)
  • General farm work such as fencing, weed control, and yard maintenance
  • Tractor operation (feeding out, mowing, baling, cultivation as required)
  • Monitoring animal health and reporting issues promptly
  • Assisting with seasonal work such as calving, mating, and cropping
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and tidy work environment

What you will bring:

  • Previous farming experience preferred but not essential
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good level of physical fitness
  • Basic animal handling skills
  • Full driver’s licence (tractor experience an advantage)
  • Srong work ethic and reliability
