Due to a genuine change in circumstances, we’re looking for two farm assistants to help with the day to day operation of a 690 cow farm near Te Kuiti in the Waikato. The farm has a 54-bail rotary with ACRs, auto teat spray, in-shed feeding, feed pad and Halter collars to assist with stock movements, feed allocation, health monitoring and mating. Job Description
You’ll be involved in a wide range of tasks, with room to grow and develop your skills however you must want to learn and be self motivated.
- Milking and maintaining the cleanliness of the facilities
- Monitoring cow health, identifying and addressing issues promptly
- Tractor work, including feeding out. Confidently ride two wheel and four wheel motorbikes on hilly terrain
- Assisting with calving, feeding, and routine animal husbandry
- General farm duties including maintenance, fencing and weed management
Remuneration
$70K/annum total package
Minimum 30 hours per week, maximum 50 hours per week
11/3 roster
