Located at Korakonui, 25 min to Te Awamutu, 20 min to Otorohanga, we are seeking two reliable and experienced Calf Rearers to join our farming operation for the upcoming calf-rearing season. Rearing approximately 700 calves, these positions are part time and fixed term (July to December).
Daily tasks include: feeding and care of calves, monitoring calf health and wellbeing, cleaning and maintaining calf-rearing facilities, assisting with all general calf management tasks as part of a team.
Previous calf-rearing experience would be an advantage. Having good stock sense and attention to detail with animal welfare, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, reliable, hardworking, and physically fit, competent in using a 4 wheeler and a side-by-side ATV.
Accommodation is shared with a current on farm staff member.
The successful applicant must be living in New Zealand, have a current drivers licence and own reliable vehicle, be drug free and have good recent references.
