Alsmere Farm is a 183ha effective milking platform, milking 550 cows through an efficient 36-aside herringbone. The farm operates a hybrid milking system, utilising both twice-a-day (TAD) and once-a-day (OAD) milking, with 30% of the herd OAD for the majority of the season. We run a predominantly pasture-based system, supported by the strategic use of supplements. The majority of cows are wintered off-farm as well as all the young stock post-weaning.
