We require a Farm Assistant to join our team on the 15th August 2026, milking 700 cows through a 54 bale rotary with ACRs. There is a tidy 2-bedroom shared house available. Te Anau is an easy 15min drive. We are searching for the right personality and fit for the existing team, so we can provide full training if needed or align the role and renumeration to suit your existing experience. Duties and responsibilities
Milking: Milk cows in a hygienic manner, help manage cowshed when senior staff are away.
Animal health: Identify and treat sick animals in consultation with the contract Milker.
Farm maintenance: Help maintain a working farm. Spraying races, fixing insulators etc
Weed management: Identify problem paddocks with noxious weeds. spray or chip when required.
A minimum of 40hours work per week will be provided.
Hourly pay rate of $25-30 per Hour offered depending on experience
