We are seeking a motivated and reliable Farm Assistant to join our pasture-based dairy operation in New Zealand.
Our farm runs a spring calving 760 JerseyX, grass-based system on 200ha with minimum supplement. We focus on pasture management, animal health, and maintaining high production standards while supporting a positive and team-oriented workplace.
10 minutes either way to Cambridge or Te Awamutu
Our current team is our 2ic who is going into his 5th season and we as the contract milkers are entering our 6th season. Our average Scc is 86 this season and 77 for last season.
We only use Suzuki DR200 motorbikes so experience in riding 2 wheel motorbikes would be beneficial. The shed is a 50 bail rotary with walk over teat spray, automatic cup removers and drenching in-shed for part of the season.
For the right person we want to help open opportunities into management in the future and advance their careers in the dairy industry. We encourage PrimaryITO, First Aid courses and other further learning.
