Job Description

What we are looking for:

Minimum 2 years NZ Dairy experience

Be able to work as a team and individually maintaining high attention to detail

Strong work ethic with willingness to learn and grow in the industry

Communicate clearly

Adhere to all farm policies

Takes pride in a clean and tidy workplace

Key aspects of role Include but not limited to:

  • Contribute to all aspects of milking and milk quality
  • Monitor animal health and wellbeing identifying and reporting issues early
  • Be competent at operating 2 wheel and 4-wheel motor bike safely
  • Operate tractor with wagon, heavy roller or mower
  • Undertake fencing for feed management
  • Undertake weed control
  • Assist with calf rearing when required.

About Farm:

80 bail rotary with cup removers, in shed feeding, auto teat spray, protract and allflex collars.

Irrigation is majority pivots with portion of K-Line, Sprinklers and fixed grid.

Other Information:

Pay will be discussed at time of interview and based on experience

Roster 6on 2 off July to November and then 5 on 2 off remainder of season

Accommodation available on farm 2 bedroom suitable for 1-2 persons

Random drug testing will be carried out.

Must be in New Zealand available for interview with references and cannot accept AEWV currently
