Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Dairy farm Assistant to join our 460 cows dairy farm located on 148 hectares, just 10 minutes from Masterton. 

Our farm uses modern systems including  32 bale rotary  shed.

Your Role:-

You will work with the Contract Milker and Herd Manager :

  • Milking operations
  • Animal health and care 
  • Calf rearing
  • Pasture and feed management                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    About You :-
  • 1+ year dairy farming experience in New Zealand preferred .
  • confident operating two-wheelers,tractors and farm machinery
  • Good communication and attention to detail
  • Must have NZ residency or a valid working hoilday visa .

We are looking for keen , energetic person working along with contract milkers for upcoming season. 
we milk 450 cows through 28 bail rotary ,ACR 

we 10 minutes out of Masterton 

job comes with 1 bedroom cottage 

Ideal candidate must have knowledge about pasture management 
identify and treat lame cows , unwell and mastitis cows 

  • Feeding out and general farm work maintenance requirements
