Farm Assistant - Culverden

An opportunity has become available to join our team on an  830 cow dairy farm near Culverden.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working with stock, takes ownership of their work and wants to continue developing their skills within the industry. We're looking for someone with at least one year of New Zealand dairy farming experience or transferrable farming skills. 

About the role:

You’ll be involved in all aspects of day-to-day farm operations, including:

Milking and shed hygiene  

Animal health and welfare

Setting Break fences, feeding out and monitoring water

General farm maintenance

Supporting the wider team to keep the farm running smoothly

Following all farm health and safety procedures

What we’re looking for:

A good all round person, who takes ownership of their role and isn’t afraid to ask questions to learn.

Minimum 1 year NZ dairy farming experience (preferred)

Confident operating a tractor

Calm and confident with stock

Respectful and careful with machinery and equipment

Tidy, organised, and takes pride in your environment
