We are looking for a progressive herd manager for the 2025/2026 season. The job is located at Te Kauwhata Waikato
The dairy platform is 220ha, peak milking is 685 cows through a 48a side HB shed.
As Herd Manager, you will be in charge of and responsible for the dairy sheds. You will be expected to: • Maintain hygiene and cleanliness to a high standard. • Implement, Monitor and Report on animal Health, Calving and Mating Plans. • Identify and treat animal Health problems. • Management of soil, nutrients, effluent and water to meet environmental regulations. • Support and training of staff and students to further their development. • Safely use and maintain farm vehicles and machinery. We have a zero-tolerance drug policy and use both pre-employment and ongoing random drug testing.
Applicant must have good tractor skills and must have at least one year of New Zealand dairy experience
