We are looking for a reliable and motivated Dairy Farm Assistant to join our team on a progressive dairy farm in Golden Bay New Zealand. This is a hands-on role that will suit someone passionate about the dairy industry and committed to animal welfare and farm productivity. This position is permanent full time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Milking cows and maintaining milking equipment
- Assisting with feeding, calving, and animal health monitoring
- Cleaning and maintaining sheds and farm equipment
- Paddock and pasture management support
- Reporting animal health issues and abnormalities
- General farm maintenance and tasks as required
Requirements:
- 6 months to 2 years of relevant dairy farm experience
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Physically fit and willing to work outdoors in varying conditions
- Commitment to animal welfare and safe work practices
- Hold NZ Full driver’s license
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently
- Pass pre-employment drug test
