We are on the lookout for a senior Farm Assistant to join our small team in Sheffield.
Start date: ASAP
Location: 5min to Sheffield, and 10min to Darfield.
Milking 650 xbred cows through a new 54 bale rotary with ACRs, auto teat spray, atip drafting and inshed feeding.
The farm is a flat 156ha property that is irrigated mainly by pivots.
On farm staff is the Contract Milker (+wife occasionally helping out), 2IC, and this farm assistant role. We are looking for someone experienced and capable of all tasks on farm and will be paid according to experience.
The successful applicant must have a minimum of 2 seasons experience on a New Zealand based dairy farm.
Must be able to drive a tractor and ride a 2 wheeler.
We run a 7-2, 7-2, 7-3 roster for a majority of the season with 6 weeks of 6on 1off over calving.
A 2 bedroom home provided with Heatpump and fire.
Competitive remuneration will be dependent on experience.
