Shortland Farm is a Certified Organic, System 1, Spring Calving Dairy Farm supplying Fonterra Organics. The farm operates a holistic approach prioritising people, animals and the environment. The predominately jersey herd is milked twice-a-day from calving until mid-December and then once-a-day for the remainder of the season. The Dairy Shed is a 36 aside herringbone. Halter technology is installed on farm. All young stock remain on farm as well as the yearlings from a second farm from May to May.
