We are seeking an experienced and motivated 50/50 Sharemilker for our 72ha (effective) Taranaki dairy farm, just south of Oakura/New Plymouth.
Herd size approximately 200 cows, 20 aside HB Shed with an In-shed Feed System.
This farm has produced 86,288 kgMS from 183 cows, utilizing 191 tonnes of a Dairy Pellet Blend through the in-shed feed system and 69 kgs/ha of N.
Potential for 90,000kgMS plus would be a realistic target.
The last 3 year production average is: 84,884 kgMS
Contour is flat to rolling with some sidlings
Replacements are grazed off farm
A tidy/warm 3 bedroom house is provided
The successful candidate must be keen, honest and reliable with a strong work ethic. They will have excellent all-round farming knowledge, with the ability to use their initiative. Outstanding pasture management, animal health & milk production skills with a minimum of 4 years NZ dairy farming experience.
