About the Role: We are looking for a motivated and reliable Farm assistant to join our 220ha dairy farm in Whataroa, milking 400 cows through a 25-a-side herringbone shed. The farm uses halter collars and a variable milking regime. You’ll work closely with the farm manager and a small team (2 full-time staff + a calf rearer), with a roster of 11 days on, 3 days off. Key Responsibilities: Assist with milking, animal health, and general farm management. Treat sick/infected animals and maintain high animal welfare standards. Help maintain farm gear and equipment. Work alongside a team Assist with calf rearing during calving season. Ensure farm health and safety protocols are followed.
