We are looking for a motivated full time team member to support our progressive sheep dairy business, with the variety of assisting with our sheep and beef finishing operation which is all integrated within a single 365ha farm unit.
This position is ideally a drive-in position – however we are happy to assist in looking for options for housing if required. The farm is well located to Te Awamutu, Otorohanga, Putaruru & Cambridge (located near Korakonui).
“Primavera Farm” is a well subdivided 365ha mixed sheep, beef and dairy sheep unit currently running 1,000 milking dairy ewes, 300 R1& R2 Beef Cattle, 500MA Romney breeding ewes and approximately 300 replacement milking lambs.
2025 will be coming in to our 4th lambing season supplying milk to Spring Sheep, with approximately 40 hectares of the property dedicated to the milking platform, with a flexible boundary to meet feed requirements through the shoulders of the season.
The dairy shed is a newly built 42ashb, with rapid exit stalling & swing over cups, alongside facilities for rearing replacement ewe lambs. 
General duties including:
Assisting on the sheep dairy platform with all daily activities  (i.e. milking, break fences, animal health treatments, lameness, feeding out)
Assisting with lambing, springer mob & lamb rearing operation
Treating & handling stock with a focus on milk quality and animal health 
Maintaining Records (Resolution App)
Pasture & Crop Allocation and monitoring pasture quality.
General Farm Duties such as fencing, maintenance & weed control.
Self-motivation and time management skills are important along with a good sense of humour and a “can do” attitude. We will provide support for any ongoing farm training.

Roster & Salary is negotiable & we are willing to be flexible for the right candidate's individual needs.
The successful applicant will have the following attributes:
A passion for farming and a desire to advance your farming career
Great communication skills
An excellent work ethic
Top animal husbandry and practice of low-stress stock handling
Milking experience is an advantage, but full training will be given
Able to use initiative and work both unsupervised & in a team
Honesty, reliability and proactive approach to Health and Safety protocols
Tractor operation & maintenance would be an advantage but not essential
The property is centrally located with good access to hunting and fishing in close proximity.

Applicant must hold a NZ drivers license & work VISA
Relief milking, lamb rearing and other casual work is also available for willing partners.
