The farm was originally milking 1900 cows through one 80 bale rotary shed. As of the 1st of June 2023 the farm was splitting into two separate herds being 1400 cows through the original 80 bale rotary and then a newly built 60 bale rotary will house 1000 cows. Since taking on the 1000 cow farm we have also been offered to do the 1400, thus why the late advertisements now. We have run two conjoined farms side by side before and are very confident we can still pull a good team together. The farm only has centre pivot irrigation with NO other irrigation. It is located in Parnassus, North Canterbury and is all flat terrain. The climate is warm sunny summers with zero to no harshly cold winter (no snow to speak of as 46m above sea level but is sheltered in a basin).
