We are looking for a calf rearer to join our team starting mid of July. Rearing about 350 heifer calves plus bobbies and beefies at 4 days old. Roster 6 on 1 off, about 5 hours per day. We are looking for a farm assistant to join our team, with at least 1 years of experience on dairy farm. Apart from the knowledge build up previously if you show you are passionate about the industry, have the right attitude and willingness to keep learning and work hard then you will be considered for the role. We contract milk 1350 cows in Bankside with Halter collar system. We milk through two sheds of 44 aside herringbone. In this moment one of the sheds has Protrack and in shed feed system. The successful applicant will be part of a six person team with support from the Contract Milkers. Your duties would eventually include all aspects of dairy farming including the following (but not limited to): Maintain fencing and water supply in a good working condition. Milking ( Milking time 2.5-3 hours) - Break fencing  if needed - General farm maintenance - Animal health (calf drenching, identify and treat mastitis, others) -Assist with a weed control programme for the farm.-...
