Ashvale Farming is taking on a new role for the 25/26 season in the Waitaki Valley and is looking for a full time farm assistant to join our team and help run the 222 effective ha, 730 cow farm.
The farm runs a low to medium input system, milking the herd through a 50 bale rotary with ACRs, automatic teat-sprayer, flood yard wash, Protrak and in-shed feeding. Halter collars are on the herd meaning no following cows or putting fences up! The property is irrigated by a mix of pivots, fixed grid and K-lines. We spring calve all cows and winter them at the adjacent support block, all part of the same platform. All youngstock are grazed off farm and are managed by the farm owners.
