We are a 900 cow dairy farm located in South Otago. Rolling hills for most of the farm, we milk through a 52 a-side herringbone with Automatic cup removers. Milking frequency varies during the season and between seasons from 2-a-day/16hours to once a day. There is a support block adjacent to the milking platform as well as a runoff close by that supports dry stock/wintering. There is some irrigation (k-Line) currently in use and another extension to the irrigation system to be put in.
Our current team has been with us for a long time (2IC for 14 years, Senior herd manager 8 years plus the managing equity partner). We are hoping to find someone who is wanting to learn and progress in the industry but do prioritize the ability to get along with the current team of mature, easy to get along with guys.
