We require a motivated and enthusiastic person to assist the farm owner on our family owned dairy farm and be capable and confidence in sole charge or as 2IC.
Spring calving 240 jersey cows milking twice a day through a 20 aside herringbone shed. We go once a day December 1st.
The role will include but not limited to milking, calf rearing, feeding out, spraying weeds and assisting with all jobs required in the day to day running of the farm.

The ideal candidate will be a passionate farmer who;
- Has a minimum of 3 years experience on a NZ dairy farm and capable of sole charge.
- Drug free
- Be honest, reliable and have an excellent work ethic and time management skills.
- Takes pride in the health and condition of the herd.
- Has excellent dairy shed hygiene.
- Be competent and confident on a quad bike and tractor.
- Holds a current restricted or full NZ drivers licence.
- Maintains accurate herd recording documentation.

Pastoral based dairy unit calving 240 cows through a 20 aside herringbone shed, utilising once a day for young stock (and the whole heard through the summer months). The farm has a mixture of flats, rolling hills and some steeper sideling's. Situated 30 km North of Whangarei and 10 minutes to Whananaki North beaches.
