3-4 years experience in calf rearing is essential as often will be working independently. To rear healthy calves to weaning weights with a high standard of hygiene followed at all times. Approx. 600 claves.200 hfr replacements and 400 Dairy beef. Single bed sleepout on farm available. Roster is a little flexible but expect minimum 5 days per week. Located 15 minutes South of Palmy.

OB Group has four Dairy farms, three at Sandtoft Bulls where these roles will be based, just 15 minutes from Marton in the Rangitikei region. Each Farm milks between 800-1000 Friesian X cows at peak through 60 bail Rotary sheds and has 4 staff. These are well-resourced farming businesses set on flat to rolling sand country with excellent laneways and pivot irrigators across the properties. THE OPPORTUNITY… We require experienced farm staff to add to the experienced Farm teams in all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the dairy farm. You may be at 2IC level, or close to stepping into Shed or Herd manager for this farm role. Experience is great, but the right attitude to farm work is a must i.e. for the right person we can support getting them up to speed.
