40 South Dairies is an exciting new dairy farming business located in the North West of Tasmania, Currently 7 large dairy farms (600 to 1200 milking cows) and 3 runoff block are being operated. All properties are located in a 1000 to 1300mm rainfall area are among the highest pasture and milk production properties, with the lowest cost of production per kgms in Australia. Production per ha is approximately 1500 to 1700kgms/ha. Properties are very well developed with excellent drainage, soil fertility and >50% Pivot irrigation.
