Herd manager wanted


Naki South is officially alive and we’re looking for team members for our new
venture.
We’re on the hunt for a person who loves cows (650 of them), grass management
(230ha worth), farming (at Gorge Road with 48 a side herringbone) and growth. Our
business is looking to grow long term, and this means we’re after a likeminded
individual who wants to grow into a 2IC and a manager. We want to train you!
What do we offer.
 Learning and training opportunities, we encourage you to take up off farm
training as well as daily learnings in what and how we do things.
 8 and 2 rosters during calving to give you more down time, then 11 and 3
through the rest of the season with 2 sleep ins for your 11 days on.
 Warm 4 bedroom house with log burner, spacious kitchen, heat pump, 2 car
garage, 30 minutes from Invercargill, close to the Catlins and Fortrose for
hunting and fishing opportunities
 Growth opportunity, we are looking to expand our business long term, and this
includes you becoming a manager with a starting rate for this role of $80,000
and room to move up as you grow


What we’re after.
 Firstly, a great attitude, we want to develop you, and the most important part
is the willingness to learn and seek advice when needed. We appreciate the
opportunity to teach
 We want to grow as a team, and both of our growth won’t happen overnight
but let’s grow and learn together
 Milking, tractor driving, basic pasture and effluent experience is preferred but
not essential, as we said, we’re here to teach!
 Punctual and efficient, we’re here to achieve and that requires a bit of hustle
from time to time so we can all get home to see our families
 Safety conscious, we believe everyone’s safety is the most important part of
the day
 Good communication skills, we want to hear your opinion and believe it can
enhance our team
