Moon Lake is a progressive large-scale dairy farming business in North West Tasmania, which owns 25 dairy farms and an extensive dairy support and heifer raising operation.
The dairy support and heifer raising operation, rears up to 12,000 Heifers and grazes up to 3,000 wintering cows on 5,000 Ha. As well as producing a large amount of the supplement in the form of silage and hay for the company’s dairy farms.
We are currently looking for a passionate and driven manager to oversee all day to day activities of our dairy support and heifer raising operation.
The successful candidate will have:
• Sound experience and expertise in pasture management, livestock handling and feed budgeting
• A track record of successfully delivering against targets, KPI’s and cost efficiencies.
• Demonstrated an ability to engage, coach and develop teams to drive high performance
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work within a team.
• Demonstrated a commercial acumen to manage budgets and costs.
• A commitment to achieve industry best-practice in the areas of Work Health & Safety, Animal Welfare and Environmental Standards
