Our 22 aside DeLaval Alpro shed is a one person operation with Automatic cup removers and drafting as well as an automatic wash system on the cow yard. Two herds are used with milkings split between two milkers to avoid spending long times in the dairy shed. As well as the herd management been undertaken other general duties such as pasture management, weed control and capital development will be required. An annual farm plan is used proactively manage the workload alongside Agrimap Farm management software to plan and manage day to day activities. The farm is run on “team system” approach to ensure everyone is informed of what is happening on the farm. The farm utilises a range of on farm technologies such as Alpro Herd management (in the cowshed),C-Dax pasture meter (to measure pasture), tracmap (fertiliser application), and Agrimap farm management software(time and task management and recording)
