The farm runs under a Contract Milking agreement and milks around 1900 cows through two dairy sheds, a 50 and a 60 bail rotary on 516ha effective, both sheds are equipped with Protrack and ECR’s. The farm is irrigated by two laterals, four rotorainers, one gun and a hand full of klines and sprinklers.
You will be working along the Unit Manager, Assistant Farm Manager and Assistant Herd Manager in one of the units, helping to manage your part of the farm and assist the other unit when required. Therefore, you must have appropriate skills to not only get on with the day to day jobs of a dairy farm, but also work well within a large team.
